TUESDAY NIGHT LIVE: Rachel Laven – New Folk Award winning songwriter, RACHEL LAVEN performs a blend of Texas Folk and Americana music. A positive force of nature on stage, Laven not only captivates with her smiling lyricism, but with her electric vocals and accomplished guitar work. Laven recently packed her Texas life into storage and moved to the UK with her husband, making a new home in Leeds. She will shift her focus for 2019 and 2020 to touring in Europe and launching a Patreon to help fund her next album, an acoustic project called “The Leeds Sessions.”

In the fall of 2018, GRACE PETTIS released two new EPs. The first is an independently released acoustic collection of songs written with longtime lead guitar player Calloway Ritch, entitled Blue Star in a Red Sky. The second, produced by Michael Ramos and recorded at Firefly Studios in Fischer, Texas with an all-star backing band (JJ Johnson, David Grissom, Glenn Fukunaga, Michael Ramos) was the debut release of the new, critically acclaimed songwriting trio, Nobody’s Girl (BettySoo, Rebecca Loebe, and Grace Pettis). This EP, Waterline, was released by boutique record label Lucky Hound Music. As a card-carrying member of the South Austin scene, Grace Pettis has amassed bragging rights to spare. She just signed a multi-year publishing deal in February of 2019 with BMG Music and is fresh on the heels of two official SXSW showcases
