Leeds station has just undergone a £245m modernisation which allows more trains to travel through and caters for faster trains. Key improvements include a new roof, three customer information points, a passenger footbridge, escalators to all platforms and lifts. A new taxi rank and bus interchange have been built and are located on New Station Street. This provides a fully integrated transport service.

Payphones are located on Wellington Quarter, the passenger foot bridge, the south concourse and platforms 1, 5 and 8.


Taxis can be found outside the south concourse entrance on New Station Street.


There are car parks adjacent to the station, which are managed by NCP. Discounted rates are available for rail users in the long stay car parks, subject to conditions. Please call 0113 247 9238 for more information.

Toilets and baby changing

Toilets are provided on the south concourse and on platforms 8, 12 and 15. Baby changing facilities are provided on the south concourse and platform 12. Accessable toilets are available on platforms 8 and 12 and on the South concourse.

British Transport Police

The British Transport Police office is in the Wellington Quarter or telephone 0113 243 6686. BT Police are available 24 hours a day.

Please ask for assistance from a member of the station staff, or call into the Network Rail office on platform 5.

Cash and Bureau de Change

There are cash dispensers at various points on the concourse and the overbridge. See map for details. Bureau de Change is provided by Eurochange on the South concourse.


Luggage trolleys are available on all platforms and at the station entrance. Trolleys are coin operated, a £1 deposit is refundable when you return the trolley to a trolley bay.


Bicycle racks are situated on platform 1 in the short-stay car park and by the taxi rank on New Station Street. For security reasons, do not leave cycles on any other part of the station.

Left luggage / Lost Property

Left Luggage is a secure place where you can leave items of luggage for collection later. The left luggage / Lost Property is located in the Wellington Quarter. Click here for more information or call 0113 243 8030.

Photo booths

There are a number of photo booths at the station where photos for passports, travel passes and other identity documents can be obtained.
