I’ve Seen Footage – an evening with David Cronenberg’s Videodrome

17th September 2022 - 17th September 2022

DEATH TO VIDEODROME! LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH! Are you craving violence? Are you glued to your screen lusting for blood & guts? Drag queen Vee Dagger presents a screening of the ultimate video nasty: divisive body horror classic Videodrome (1983), a hallucinatory descent into VCR-fuelled mutilation featuring Debbie Harry in a sensual red dress. The screening will be followed by drag acts exploring the Cronenbergian fascination with flesh & fantasy. "One of the most influential and mind-bending science fiction films of the 1980s." – Criterion "A half-baked jumble of sordid or lurid cathode apparitions." - The Washington Post This screening is part of Scalarama Leeds, a DIY film festival.
