1990 Revisited All Dayer. Steve Luigi . Graham Dixon . James Patta . Mike Speed
Things will never be the way they were but for one day only, we’re taking a trip back for a 35th Anniversary of the Birth of the 90s with local legends on the decks.
Taking you back, we have none other than Leeds’ finest, Steve Luigi whose nights at The Gallery were voted the second-best rave venue in Europe by Mixmag magazine. It was ranked just behind the legendary Hacienda in Manchester. This recognition solidified its place in the history of UK rave culture.
Joining him will be Graham Dixon so both downstairs at Ricky’s and upstairs at The Gallery with Mr Luigi will be brought together at this one off event. Resident at Hi-Flyers and the Corn Exchange bar, James Patta is gonna have a set to raise the roof ready for the Merrion St duo and on first from 4pm, Mike Speed from Joy and more recently Rejuvenation will be kicking things off so don’t be late, you won’t wanna miss a minute of this awesome All Dayer.
Get lost in the music that was played at clubs like Ricky’s and Leeds Warehouse as well as what you might have heard at The Love Decade had it not been raided. Leeds was definitely on the clubbing map in the late 80s and the DJs we have playing from 4pm onwards were either clubbers or DJs themselves back when you could hear a set with every genre of dance music in one big melting pot, be it bang up to date promos & imports or anthems from the last couple of years coming out of Chicago & Detroit among other cities around the Globe.
Tickets start at the ridiculously low price of £6, rising up to £14 or More on the Door!
Saturday 27th December, Doors open at 4pm so don’t be late, get down and burn off some of those Christmas goodies.
