*Trigger Warning for Talk of Sexual Assault* Charlotte is alone. She is scared. She is spiralling. It comes back to her slowly. That he took advantage. That he violated her. She doesn't know how to tell anyone, so her friends think she's acting crazy, and her sister doesn't want to spend time with her any more, and she doesn't know how to make it stop. How to be okay again. And then he shows up at a house party her flatmate insisted on having, and Charlotte reaches her breaking point. 97% is a play by Hit Like a Girl Theatre together with Empath Action CIC and funded by the Mayor's Safer Communities Fund. It is a response to the shocking statistics that 86% of women aged 18-24 report facing sexual harassment in public places, and that only 3% say they have never faced any kind of harassment in this setting. PLEASE NOTE: After each performance, we will hold a discussion with the cast to talk about the themes raised in the play and to give people a safe space to ask questions, access resources, and look at the solutions we can find to halt male sexual, physical and emotional violence against women.
