20th July 2022 - 27th July 2022

About this event: In this two-week evening course, you will be creating sculptural forms out of clay. You will explore the different stages from plastic to leather-hard clay and learn about the different ways of making. Using methods such as; Using templates, freehand forms, fettling, slab building, and joining using slip. You will gain a sense of confidence while working with clay and be able to push the limits of what you will be able to create. You'll also get the opportunity to add colour and surface patterns to your pieces using methods like monoprinting and slip designs. At the end of the course, you will be able to pick your favourite pieces which will be fired and glazed in one of our standard house glazes. You'll be able to collect your finished work 3 weeks from the end of the course.
