A dark comedy/steamy romance starring Mikey Madison, Paul Weissman and Lindsey Normington…a young stripper from Brooklyn meets and impulsively marries the son of a Russian oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairy tale is threatened as his parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.
Reviews:
Roger Ebert 4 stars out of 4 ‘Anora is boundlessly alive with a quality we’ve seen continually in the movies of Baker, among the most humanist filmmakers working today. There is joy next to sadness. There is comedy inside a tragedy…’
Rotten Tomatoes 93% ‘Sean Baker’s Palme d’Or winner ANORA is an audacious, thrilling, and comedic variation on a modern day Cinderella story. Mikey Madison captivates as Ani, a young sex worker from Brooklyn whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets and impulsively marries Vanya, the impetuous son of a Russian billionaire.’
Tickets £6.50/£5.50 available from HEART reception and online
