TNL: Music From The Floor
Tuesday Night Live: MUSIC FROM THE FLOOR
Doors 7pm Music 7.15pm
Music from the Floor is the improvising ensemble led by drummer Louis Berthoud, featuring Tom O’Brien (piano) and Elliot Roffe (double bass).
The project takes influence from the world of free jazz (Ornette; Coltrane; Christian Lillinger) but also that of modern classical music (Boulez; Xenakis; Morton Feldman) to create music that is deeply rhythmic, open and spacious.
The musicians interact spontaneously, moving through improvised and composed material in an organic, intuitive manner, creating a sound that is at times intense, whilst leaving space for musical ideas to fully form and develop.
Advance tickets £8/£7 available from HEART reception and online
On the Night £10
