World Book Day
Celebrate World Book Day with us by dropping in to Temple Newsam Home Farm.
Pop into the historic Joiner’s Shop for a fun filled session of storytelling and crafts inspired by your favourite books and farmyard friends.
Come dressed as your favourite book character if you like, and discover how stories connect us to the natural world around us.
This relaxed event is perfect for families with small children, and anyone who loves books, creativity, and the charm of the countryside. All materials are provided, and participation is free with farm entry but booking a slot is advisable to guarantee your place.
Join us in celebrating stories, imagination, and the joy of reading, right here on the farm!
Check out our children’s farm trail and learn about the lives and jobs of the people who lived and worked on the farm in years gone by. Whose job would you have picked?
Admission includes a session in the Play Barn, our new indoor adventure play facility in the old Cow Byre; with two play zones, one for toddlers and one for children up to 12 years old, it’s perfect for families looking for fun whatever the weather.
