Live entertainment to give your festive season a little extra flair!
Strap yourselves in for our Christmas Cabaret, where you'll take a wild ride between the hilarious and the absurd – from comedy and cooking with the Anarchist Chef, to mind-boggling magic from John Archer and a trip into the unknown with variety performer Ada Campe (once described as resembling 'an unhinged supervillain').
Your ticket includes a seasonal drink, food and entertainment.
As a COVID-secure venue, we've put measures in place to keep you safe, with a presumption that we'll be in tier three lockdown by 18 December. You can book in groups of up to six people who must be part of a household group or bubble. Masks must be worn on entry and when walking around the venue, but you may remove them when seated.
Doors are at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. We expect to wrap up around 9.45PM.
Our performers are:
Funny, inspiring and absurd, this cross-genre stand-up comedian and anarchic chef presents a show that’s as much a comedy set as it is an illustrated lecture. In his unique and genre-defining show, he makes food onstage using unexpected equipment and unconventional methods – and he makes you laugh too.
George's shows 'Anarchist Cook', 'DIY Chef' and 'Moveable Feast' have all had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and he won the Spirit of the Fringe award in 2015. He has appeared on Bake Off: An Extra Slice, This Morning and BBC Radio 4's Loose Ends.
'A culinary Bill Bailey, with chopping boards instead of keyboards. It is a multi-sensory delight to spend an hour with him.' The Scotsman
'There is a mischievousness about Egg's humour that is deeply loveable.' Grace Dent in The Guardian'
One of the best comedy magicians on the circuit, John is well known for being one of only a few people to fool magic duo Penn & Teller, as well as being a semi-finalist on Britain's Got Talent. He's spent three decades entertaining audiences all over the world.
'You could put John Archer anywhere and he would kill an audience.' Penn Jillette (Penn & Teller)
'John Archer will blow your mind. He is the funniest man I know. Seeing him perform is guaranteed to be one of the best experiences of your life!' Dynamo
Expect award-winning comedy, cabaret, magic and variety from Ada Campe, an eccentric character created by actress and comedian Naomi Paxton.
In 2018, she won the prestigious New Act of the Year Show (NATYS), and the Leicester Square Theatre Old Comedian of the Year competition. In 2019, Ada Campe was shortlisted for the Chortle Awards in the Variety category, and for the 2019 Funny Women awards in the Best Show category.
