This study day gives a general survey into the way travel in Leeds has changed over the past 200 years. We will be starting with the era of horse drawn travel through the arrival of steam trains and electric trams, to motor driven buses and cars. Alongside a discussion on how things have developed, we will showcase some of our many transport related photographs and objects, with a chance to get hands on with ephemera not usually on display. All levels of knowledge welcome. Pre booking essential. £12 paid on the day. Please ring or email abbey.house@leeds.gov.uk to book.
