Welcome to Leeds

Welcome to Leeds

Coronavirus Update

Monday 2 November 2020

As we enter into a second lockdown, our priority at Visit Leeds is to play our part and do what we can to keep our visitors, students and residents as safe as possible. Our businesses, attractions, museums, galleries and cafes and restaurants have worked really hard as restrictions lifted to make sure their venues are safe and enjoyable. Our fantastic city is well known for community spirit and collaboration amongst all those people who live, work, study and visit here.

We’ll be ready when you are to welcome you back.

In the meantime we will be updating these pages with information about what you can do and enjoy safely in Leeds. You can head to our handy A-Z Guide and also to our Leeds At Home page to find out which restaurants are operating take-aways and which online and outdoor activities you can still take advantage of.

What are we?

We're the perfect city
break destination.

The unofficial capital of Yorkshire. A city at the heart of the action, bursting with life and cultural energy. A vibrant creative community, with award-winning national theatre and dance companies, a world-class arena, and a thriving independent food scene you won’t find anywhere else. A renowned retail destination, where big brands meet Victorian arcades. And a welcoming host for international sporting events, colourful carnivals, and a packed calendar of festivals and events. A skyline filled with breathtaking architecture, and a destination easily reached by road, rail and air. We are many things. We are Leeds.
