ADDING YOUR EVENT
We are working with Leeds Inspired to utilise their fantastic events feed. If you wish your event to appear on the Visit Leeds website, please add it to Leeds Inspired – https://www.leedsinspired.co.uk/
It’s a brilliant way of promoting your event to a wide audience, by adding your event to this one place, your event will appear numerous other sites. Leeds Inspired events data populates events listings on Leeds Inspired, Visit Leeds, the Independent Leeds’ Radius App and the City Dashboard through their API feed. Although each of these sites taking the Leeds Inspired feed reserve the right to not display your event on their site as it might not be suitable for their audience.
Once your event has been added, the team at Leeds Inspired will make sure everything is correct and approve it. The event will then appear on the Leeds Inspired website and, after 48 hours, it will appear on the Visit Leeds website. If you’re having trouble adding your event to Leeds Inspired, email [email protected] and they will be happy to help.
MANAGING YOUR BUSINESS LISTING
If you have a venue on Visit Leeds and do not yet have a Culture Hosts account connecting the two is a simple process:
- Visit the Culture Hosts uploader portal on Visit Leeds and create and account.
Use this link to sign up to the Culture Hosts platform. This will provide your login details for future use of the platform.
- Follow the prompt and create an organisation.
When creating your login details you will be prompted to create a new organisation, check this box to do so. On the next page you can complete this form to create your organisation.
Organisations only need to be created once, future team members will be able to join the one which has been created to amend business listings.
- Let us know your organisation is set up
Once the organisation form is submitted it is up to us to approve your organisation and link your business listing and Culture Hosts account together.
Email [email protected] & (relevant Visit Leeds Email). Please include your business listing name as it is on Visit Leeds and the email you used to sign up to Culture Hosts.
- Login to the Culture Hosts uploader portal and access your listing
Once you are approved you can access and manage your listings. Do this by selecting [My listings] > [Venue Listings]. By selecting edit you will be able to change data in your business listing. This will be reflected on Visit Leeds the following day.

FOR BRAND NEW VENUES AND VENUES NOT YET LISTED:
If you are an attraction, hotel, restaurant or bar, you can have a venue listing on the Visit Leeds website free of charge through our new listings platform, Culture Hosts. This will allow you to create and update your venue listings, and see these changes reflected the next day .
If you with to add your free business listing to Visit Leeds you can do so by using Culture Hosts through the following process:
- Visit the Culture Hosts uploader portal on Visit Leeds and create and account.
Use this link to sign up to the Culture Hosts platform. This will provide your login details for future use of the platform.
- Follow the prompt and create an organisation.
When creating your login details you will be prompted to create a new organisation, check this box to do so. On the next page you can complete this form to create your organisation.

- Let us know your organisation is set up so we can approve you
We approve new organisations daily, to have this done quicker email email [email protected] & (relevant Visit Leeds Email).
- Login to the Culture Hosts uploader portal and access your listing
Once you are approved you can create your business listing. Do this by selecting [Add Listing] > [Add venue listing]. This will open the form to create your venue listing. Once completed and submitted this will be provided to Visit Leeds for publishing on the site.
Repeat this process to create more venues that you manage. To edit existing venues select [My listings] > [Venue listings]
You’re ready to go!
This process only needs to be completed once and will grant you access to login and manage your listings yourself.
