VISIT LEEDS PRIZE DRAW TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions together with any specific rules apply to prize draws featuring on any Visit Leeds publications or on any Visit Leeds internet site unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering a prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Qualifying Entrants
To qualify to enter the prize draw you must be resident in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and/or the Isle of Man.
Employees of Visit Leeds or any associated company of Visit Leeds and their immediate families, persons connected with the prize draw i.e. prize sponsors are not eligible to enter the prize draw.
By entering the prize draw, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Visit Leeds reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
Visit Leeds assumes that by entering the prize draw that you are aged 18 or over.
Visit Leeds reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the terms and conditions.

Competition Entries
Only one entry per person per prize draw is allowed and any entrant who enters more than the permitted maximum will be disqualified.
Where a winner has been selected and Visit Leeds discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe the winner has made more than one entry, Visit Leeds reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date specified on the prize draw notice. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.

The draw is not open to employees of Visit Leeds, Opera North, its agents, families or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.

Prizes
Prize winners will be chosen at random from all qualifying entries within 7 days of the closing date specified in the prize draw notice.
In all matters, the decision of the winner shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
Prize winners will be notified in the manner and within the time specified on the prize draw notice.
Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified on the prize draw.
Failure to claim a prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

Visit Leeds reserves the right to exclude any entry from the Competition at any time if it has a reason to believe that the entrant has breached any of the rules.  

There is no cash or date alternative and negotiations will not be entered into.

All entries must be submitted by the original writer of the entry.  

All entries considered inappropriate or offensive by Visit Leeds will be disqualified.  

The winner will be notified by Visit Leeds using the contact information submitted in the winner’s entry. The winner may be asked to provide identification. Any winner who is not contactable or who fails to return contact within 72 hours of notification will be disqualified, in which case the winner forfeits their right to the prize, no compensation will be given and a reserve entrant will be selected at random as an alternative winner.  

Prize includes Two First Class return tickets for travel on London North Eastern Railway (LNER) train services between London Kings Cross and Leeds Station. LNER complimentary tickets are valid on LNER services only and are subject to availability. It is the responsibility of the winner to arrange transport to an LNER calling station for departure and from an LNER calling station on return. Any additional costs incurred during the trip must be covered by the prize holder. Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable are not eligible for Delay Repay compensation and cannot be cancelled once booked. LNER reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so. LNER is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of the Winner accepting and/or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 

In the event of circumstances out of Opera North’s control this prize may be substituted for a prize of equal or greater value. The promoter will not be responsible for any inability of a prize-winner to take up the prize or for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered as a result of entering the draw or accepting the prize. The promoter is not liable for any costs, charges or expenses which the winner may be required to pay at any time in connection with the prize.
