Reimagine the future on board MOON PALACE, a mobile observatory and social sculpture by artists Heather Peak and Ivan Morison.
Created in the spirit of the UK’s first civil engineer, Leeds-born John Smeaton, who built his own observatory at Austhorpe, MOON PALACE is a gift from East Leeds to the world. The project intertwines creativity and art, engineering and science, collaboration and public good. On board you’ll find a working observatory and great conversations hosted by artists and scientists over a cup of cosmic tea.
MOON PALACE belongs to a time just lost while embodying the ideals of a sustainable future. Come with us on this absurdly joyful adventure.
Free, no booking required, although there may be a short wait at busy times.
