NQ64 PRESSES “START” ON NEW YORKSHIRE VENUE

14th June 2024

NQ64 is set to launch its newest & one of it’s biggest venues in Leeds this August

The retro arcade game & classic console bar NQ64 has officially announced its newest venue opening in Leeds. Gasps!

Launching at the end of August in 11 Merrion St (previously home to Manahatta), the company that has a reputation for neon-splattered drinking dens, is bringing their signature look to Leeds with enough room for over 250 of you to drink, battle and dance the night away in the heart of the city. Whether you’re an avid gamer, looking for a date night spot, or just love whooping your mates at something, NQ64 could be the spot for you.

Because the space is a BIG one (did we mention that?) NQ64 Leeds will be home to one of the brand’s biggest selection of games yet with fan favourites like Guitar Hero, Pac-Man & Street Fighter all alongside NQ64 exclusive games like the “Wall Boy” which elevates the iconic game boy to a large screen. Time to dust off your Super Mario skills, for all your mates to see.

As well as its awesome selection of games, NQ64’s new home in Leeds will boast an outdoor seating area perfect for the warmer months, a private loft space (don’t get any ideas) plus more bookable areas throughout the venue!

Taking as much pride in its drinks selection as it does its games, the new venue also has a bigger and better bar offering (see the theme here?), serving cocktail Classix (yes there are six) alongside game-themed signature drinks like the Kong Island Iced Tea (Absolut vodka, El Jimador tequila, Beefeater gin, Wray & Nephew rum, Caribbean pineapple, tea & sour peach), and the Lemmingade (Limoncello, Absolut citron vodka, pink hooch, prosecco, rosemary, cucumber). All cocktails are available during happy hour (Sunday-Friday til 7pm) for just £6 (bargain!)

Plus, there’s an extensive offering of craft beers, wines, spirits, sodas and non-alcoholic cocktails, as well as a bunch of old-school childhood favourite snacks such as Space Raiders & Monster Munch – all the fun of childhood, but just for the adults now.

Matt Robson, co-founder at NQ64, said: “We’ve wanted a site in Leeds for about 4 years now, so we were buzzing when the space on Merrion Street landed on our table. The venue works perfectly for us, with loads of levels and hidden nooks to tuck our games in. We’re always upgrading the offering and new fan favourites like Basketball and an addictive rhythm game -Mai Mai – have been included for Leeds. We have enjoyed some great evenings in the city, but now we can host some fun ourselves!”

NQ64 is the neon graffiti-splattered drinking den, bringing drinks and button-bashing to Leeds. Enjoy cocktails and craft beers while playing a range of retro arcade machines, pinball and classic consoles to the sounds of a DJ. Rediscover the iconic video games of yesteryears as you dive into beloved classics like Mario Kart, Time Crisis, and Point Blank.

The NQ64 Leeds venue is the brand’s 12th site and is located on 11 Merrion St, Leeds LS1 6PQ, it will be open seven days a week,  4PM-2AM on weekdays and 12PM-2AM on weekends. To find out more visit the NQ64 Instagram page here – @nq64arcadebars or to book email hello@nq64.co.uk.
