PROJECT HOUSE, CELEBRATES 1ST BIRTHDAY WITH TWO-PART, FREE ENTRY SUMMER PARTY FT. DJ YODA, HORSE MEAT DISCO AND MORE

17th June 2024

The event space at Project House will play host to two day-to-night parties featuring a lineup of national artists and local DJs, as well as street food traders, garden games, family-friendly activities and an outdoor sound system.

Since opening its doors in July 2023, Project House has hosted a wide variety of events, from sellout shows with Sky Ferreria, Nightmares on Wax and Idles, to Glass Onion vintage markets and popular Northern street food event, Peddler Market. Its two-part birthday event will be a celebration of all that Project House brings to the city, from live music, street food, DJs, family activities and more.

The first party, taking place on Saturday 20th July will be a ‘Hip Hop House Party’, featuring award-winning DJ and producer DJ YODA playing on an outdoor sound system, as well as a stellar lineup of local DJs including Sangria Kong, Dman, Muddy Brown and DJ Agent M. Local street food traders Homeboy Pizza Co and Braizin’ Squad will join Galleria in the courtyard serving food all day alongside games and kid-friendly activities.

The second instalment takes place on Saturday 10th August with an all day disco party, headlined by Horse Meat Disco, with Andy Buchan, Anastasia McGarel, Grace Barker and Ruubos. Farsley-based Sabroso Street Food and low ‘n’ slow specialists Koben join Galleria in the courtyard alongside more fun for all of the family.

One of the venue’s owners, Ben Lewis, spoke of the importance of celebrating culture in the city: ‘Bringing Project House to life over the last year has been such a pleasure, giving Leeds another cultural space to attract new international names to the city, we’ve seen a number of artists who would ordinarily skip Leeds in favour of Manchester add Project House to their schedules, as well as providing a new space for Leeds’ own creators and curators to bring their events to. It feels like we’ve built a nice, wide ranging community of cultural events around Project House and these summer parties will be a great way of letting our hair down (and patting ourselves on the back a bit) for what we’ve achieved over the last 12 months, as well as looking forward to watch the future holds.’

Those wanting to attend either event can sign up for free tickets via the venue’s website.
