Water Lane Boathouse

Water Lane Boathouse is the brainchild of the people who brought you Belgrave Music Hall and Headrow House

Built in the early 1800’s the building is situated at Lock Number One on Canal Wharf and was originally a shipment warehouse for the Leeds to Liverpool canal, later becoming a granary storehouse for threshed grain.

The building is spread over two floors and has a large outdoor area overlooking the canal.

Food is available from 12pm seven days a week. Each morning the Small Victories bakery makes the bread for our sandwiches from scratch. Our pizza dough is made using just three ingredients: Organic Yorkshire flour, water and salt. We prove the dough slowly over 24 hours. This gentle process helps break down the gluten in the dough, creating a much lighter pizza.

The menu consists of sourdough pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches and great selection of healthy salad bowls.
