Canal Connections
Canal Connections is a social enterprise company working along the waterways of Leeds and Bradford, connecting individuals, communities and organisations to the canal environment. Boats are the vehicle used to inspire and engage, providing a unique mobile learning environment for schools, community groups, charities, corporate businesses and individuals. Canal Connections deliver a wide range of learning and engagement opportunities including a weekly work club, summer schools, seasonal boat trips and corporate and community volunteering opportunities.
Canal Connections deliver the Leeds Waterfront Festival, now in it’s 9th year and work closely with organisations including Canal & Rivers Trust, Yorkshire Water and Environment Agency to improve and maintain the physical environment alongside engaging communities in the benefits being close to the water can provide.
