The North’s favourite Mexican has officially landed in Leeds, as Salon Madre opens its doors on Wellington Street.

A lively tequila bar, taqueria and sports hangout, Salon Madre brings margarita-fuelled nights, DJs, pool tables and big-screen sport to the city centre. Fun, unpretentious and built for good times, it’s made for everything from date nights to big group get-togethers.

With four pool tables, a dart board and screens showing everything from the Six Nations to Olympic curling, Salon Madre is set to become a go-to spot for casual competition, catch-ups and celebrations.

On the bar, tequila and mezcal steal the show. Expect a drinks list stacked with frozen, classic and flavoured margaritas, palomas and more, alongside Modelo on draft and a curated selection of local and international beers.

The food menu is playful, punchy and built for sharing – think tacos, quesadillas, wings and street food favourites inspired by the team’s travels. And there’s more good news: Salon’s famous Taco Tuesday has arrived in Leeds, bringing 2-for-1 tacos and Tommy’s Margaritas all day, every Tuesday.

The venue is just the first arrival in the city from the Northwest’s favourite Mexican – Madre, its sister restaurant will open down the road at Wellington Place this Spring.

Salon Madre is open daily: Sunday – Thursday 12pm-11pm and Friday – Saturday 12pm-1am.
