North Star Coffee to Give Away 200 Free Coffees at New Victoria Quarter Opening

Independent Leeds-based roasters, North Star Coffee, are celebrating the opening of their newest city centre location with a four-day free coffee giveaway.

Opening on 1st June in the center of the iconic Victoria Quarter, their new kiosk will be located outside Jo Malone London and marks the brand’s third site in Leeds.

To celebrate the launch, North Star will be giving away 50 free coffees a day from Tuesday 2nd June until Friday 5th June – a total of 200 free drinks across the opening week. Customers will be able to claim any coffee from the menu, with one free drink per person available on a first come, first served basis, each day.

The new kiosk brings North Star’s specialty coffee offering directly into the heart of Leeds city centre, serving a rotating selection of ethically sourced and carefully roasted coffees including espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, teas, matcha, iced drinks and soft drinks.

Alongside drinks, the kiosk will also offer a range of homemade sandwiches and baked goods, freshly prepared in-house at one of North Star’s existing coffee shops before being delivered into the city centre by electric bike each morning.

Founded in Leeds, North Star Coffee has become one of the city’s best-known independent coffee brands, recognised for its focus on quality coffee, sustainability and ethical sourcing.

Due to open a fourth site on Great George Street this July, both new openings represent North Star’s most significant investment in retail to date, signalling a long-term commitment to bricks-and-mortar spaces despite rising costs and shifting consumer habits. The announcement comes at a time when many hospitality businesses are scaling back or delaying expansion. For North Star, however, the decision is a deliberate response to continued demand for quality-led, independent experiences.

The kiosk officially opens on 1st June, with the free coffee giveaway running from Tuesday 2nd June to Friday 5th June.
