Calderdale

Calderdale is the southernmost of the Yorkshire Dales. Our beautiful countryside of rivers, hills, valleys, woodland and moorland has more miles of footpaths than any other location in the country, with excellent on and off-road cycle routes, suitable for all.

Vibrant and welcoming communities inhabit Calderdale’s market towns, hill-top and valley-side villages. Each has its own distinct character and a unifying independent spirit. Ancient meets modern in our 4000+ listed buildings, such as the unique Piece Hall in Halifax.

Calderdale is fantastic for families, with Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, theatres, independent cinemas, museums, parks and an amazing array of events.
