CROWDEDHOUSE WELCOMES AUTUMN WITH A NEW MENU CELEBRATING SEASONAL PRODUCE
7th September 2026
As we head into autumn, CrowdedHouse is turning up the heat with a new seasonal menu that puts bold British produce and rich, warming flavours centre stage.
The rooftop restaurant has unveiled its latest seasonal menu, bringing together a mix of locally sourced ingredients, with all meat sourced from Yorkshire farms, supplied by Skyes House Farm. Expect smoke, char and slow cooking alongside punchy pickles, seasonal vegetables and indulgent sauces, with dishes designed as a comfort for the colder months ahead.
Among the new dishes is Guinness-braised pork cheek with pickled mushrooms and hazelnut emulsion, alongside barbecued lamb loin with lamb and pink peppercorn sausage, garlic purée, lemon verbena and broad beans. The menu also sees the return of the grill as a centrepiece, with dry-aged fillet steak served with grilled tomato and mushroom, fries and peppercorn sauce, as well as a 500g sirloin on the bone for two.
For seafood lovers, the autumn menu brings confit wild salmon with pickled squash, horseradish and crispy mussels, while baked treacle-cured salmon with sesame pak choi, ginger and prawn wonton adds a more unexpected combination of sweet, savoury and spice. Confit cod with caramelised cauliflower, Hasselback potato and caper brown butter offers another rich, comforting option for the season.
Veggie options are given equal billing, with coal-baked celeriac, rarebit, Waldorf salad and walnut cream, alongside confit beetroot with smoked celeriac, pickled walnut and chicory. A grilled pumpkin dish with KFC mushrooms and pumpkin seed hummus also brings a playful take on autumn’s most recognisable ingredient.
The menu’s smaller plates are just as considered, from short horn beef tartare with smoked confit yolk and beef fat crackers to lobster eggy bread with smoked tomato and anchovies, as well as delicious snacks like truffle and black pepper potato churros and Korean fried chicken with kimchi watermelon.
Simon Jewitt, head chef at CrowdedHouse, said: “Autumn is one of my favourite times of year to cook because there’s so much opportunity to work with deeper, richer flavours and really make the most of the incredible produce available. For this menu, we’ve leaned into those flavours while keeping the food and flavours exciting, from slow-cooked pork cheek and smoked lamb to coal-baked celeriac and seasonal squash.
“We’ve also continued to work with the ingredients and techniques that have become part of CrowdedHouse’s identity, but with a fresh perspective for the new season. The aim is always to create food that people recognise and feel comfortable ordering, but with enough creativity and detail to make it memorable.”
Alongside the food, CrowdedHouse’s drinks offering continues to complement the kitchen, with Minuty Prestige, Ford’s Gin Negroni and a HACIEN Margarita available from the aperitif selection.
The launch of the autumn menu also coincides with CrowdedHouse’s ongoing commitment to supporting its local community, with the Leeds restaurant and sister site Three’s a Crowd in Harrogate joining forces to raise essential funds for Save the Children.
From 2 September 2026, a discretionary £1 donation will be added to every bill at both restaurants, giving diners the opportunity to contribute to Save the Children’s work while enjoying a meal.
John Quinlan, owner of CrowdedHouse Leeds and Three’s a Crowd Harrogate, said: “We feel so passionately about supporting Save the Children. It’s a real privilege to be working closely with such an incredible charity, and we’re looking forward to launching our ongoing £1 bill campaign alongside a series of fundraising events over the next 12 months. We hope these initiatives will help raise vital funds and make a real difference to children and families who need it most.”
Ash Hiden, fundraising manager at Save the Children, said: “We’re really grateful to CrowdedHouse & Three’s a Crowd for their support. From providing new parents in the UK with essential items through the Baby Bank Alliance to providing emergency assistance right now for children and their families affected by the recent flash floods in Nepal, Save the Children’s work is only possible thanks to help like this. Living in Yorkshire, it’s amazing to work with local businesses who share our mission to make sure that every child everywhere has the right to the future they deserve.”
