25th October 2026

BRIT Award nominee and double platinum selling artist leads a huge lineup featuring The Bluetones, Republica, Skinny Living and Apollo Junction.

SATURDAY 8 MAY 2027 | NETHERMOOR PARK, GUISELEY AFC, LEEDS, LS20 8BT

Guiseley Sounds Festival has unveiled its biggest lineup yet, with Newton Faulkner headlining on Saturday 8 May 2027, alongside some of British music’s most recognisable names.

Following a successful debut in 2026, the independent, family friendly festival returns to Nethermoor Park, home of Guiseley AFC, with two stages of live music, major chart hits, festival favourites and outstanding Yorkshire talent.

NEWTON FAULKNER: TWO NUMBER ONE ALBUMS, DOUBLE PLATINUM SALES AND A BRIT AWARD NOMINATION

Leading the bill is Newton Faulkner, one of Britain’s most successful and distinctive singer-songwriters. With two UK Number One albums, a double platinum selling debut and a BRIT Award nomination for British Male Solo Artist, Faulkner brings serious chart success and international touring experience to Guiseley. His breakthrough album Hand Built by Robots topped the UK Albums Chart in 2007, spending 60 weeks on the chart. The record produced the huge Top 10 single Dream Catch Me, which reached Number 7 and spent 48 weeks in the UK Singles Chart. His success continued with Rebuilt by Humans reaching Number 3, before Write It on Your Skin delivered a second UK Number One album in 2012. A formidable live performer, Faulkner has appeared at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight Festival, V Festival, Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Lollapalooza, and has toured alongside major international artists including John Mayer, Paolo Nutini and James Morrison. Renowned for his extraordinary guitar technique, powerful vocals and instantly recognisable songs, Faulkner promises a headline performance worthy of the festival’s biggest year yet.

THE BLUETONES: BRITPOP ROYALTY WITH 13 TOP 40 SINGLES

Joining Faulkner are The Bluetones, one of the defining bands of the Britpop era. With 13 UK Top 40 singles, three Top 10 albums and a platinum selling Number One debut, The Bluetones bring an extraordinary catalogue of British indie classics to Guiseley. Their landmark album Expecting to Fly famously knocked Oasis off the top of the UK Albums Chart in 1996, while Slight Return reached Number 2 in the singles chart. Hits including Cut Some Rug, Bluetonic and If… helped establish the band as one of the most enduring names in British guitar music. With all four original members still performing together, The Bluetones remain a major draw on the UK live circuit. REPUBLICA: GLOBAL ANTHEMS AND PLATINUM SELLING SUCCESS Republica bring their unmistakable electronic rock sound and two of the biggest alternative anthems of the 1990s to Guiseley. Fronted by the instantly recognisable Saffron, the band achieved international success with Ready to Go and Drop Dead Gorgeous, the latter reaching Number 7 in the UK Singles Chart. Their self-titled debut album reached Number 4 and achieved platinum status, while their music became synonymous with major sporting events, film soundtracks and high energy live performances. With international chart success and a reputation for explosive performances, Republica will deliver one of the festival’s standout sets.

SKINNY LIVING: YORKSHIRE’S SOULFUL INDIE FAVOURITES

Wakefield’s Skinny Living bring their powerful blend of soul, indie and alternative music to the main stage. Known for emotionally charged songwriting, distinctive vocals and an incredibly loyal following, the band have built a strong reputation through their live performances and songs including Let Me In and Why. Their unmistakable sound and Yorkshire roots make them a major addition to the 2027 bill.

APOLLO JUNCTION: LEEDS INDIE ANTHEMS

Leeds favourites Apollo Junction bring their anthemic indie rock sound to Guiseley Sounds. With soaring choruses, infectious melodies and an established reputation for delivering energetic live shows, the band have built a dedicated following through relentless touring and festival appearances. Their powerful, crowd ready sound makes them a natural fit for the main stage.

CELEBRATING YORKSHIRE’S LIVE MUSIC SCENE

The main stage also features three exciting acts with strong Yorkshire connections.

Harriet Rose arrives following multiple sold out performances at Sheffield Arena in 2026 as Special Guest Artist with Young Voices. The powerhouse vocalist has appeared at Tramlines, Truck Festival, Y Not and Come Together, and supported Peter Doherty, The Lottery Winners and The Sherlocks.

Acetate bring a fresh burst of Leeds indie rock, combining infectious melodies, powerful guitar riffs and an energetic live presence. The band are making their mark on the Leeds music scene and will showcase the strength of the city’s guitar music talent.

Happy Daggers bring their infectious blend of funk, soul and disco to Guiseley Sounds Festival. The Leeds band have performed at Reading and Leeds Festival and British Summer Time at Hyde Park, earning a reputation for energetic live shows, irresistible grooves and a sound guaranteed to get the crowd moving.

TWO STAGES. ONE HUGE DAY OF LIVE MUSIC.

Alongside the main stage, the festival’s popular Unplugged Stage returns, bringing six artists together for a more intimate live music experience throughout the day.

No Fit State bring their distinctive blend of blues, alternative and rock to Guiseley. The Leeds act has performed at Download Festival, received recognition from Classic Rock magazine and attracted millions of streams worldwide.

Mia Ramo brings Nashville inspired country music to the festival. She has performed at Country Calling Festival and supported American country artists Zoe Jean Fowler and Paige King Johnson on their UK tours.

Amy Campbell brings powerhouse pop vocals and a contemporary sound to the Unplugged Stage. Her recent singles, available on Spotify, offer a taste of her distinctive pop sound ahead of the festival.

Daz Cadwallander has headlined Sheffield’s legendary Leadmill, selling over 650 tickets, and supported Reverend & The Makers. His powerful indie songwriting has also received national radio support, including Radio X and BBC radio.

Taila Mae is a young local vocalist with a powerful voice and an impressive vocal range. She brings her own take on well known songs to the Unplugged Stage, showcasing the strength of local singing talent.

Lucy Robinson blends alternative pop, soul and rock influences with honest songwriting. The Northern Irish singer songwriter has received recognition from BBC Introducing and Billboard Artists.

Together, the six acts bring a diverse mix of country, indie, rock and pop to Guiseley Sounds, showcasing the range of live music on offer across both stages.

A FESTIVAL FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Guiseley Sounds Festival was founded to bring major live music experiences to the local community without the need to travel to larger city centre venues. Following its inaugural event in May 2026, which welcomed approximately 1,900 music fans, the festival returns with an increased capacity, an expanded lineup and a commitment to providing a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment for music fans of all ages. Alongside two stages of live music, visitors can enjoy independent food traders, bars and a relaxed community atmosphere at Nethermoor Park. With a mix of household names, huge singalong hits and outstanding local performers, Guiseley Sounds Festival 2027 is shaping up to be its biggest event to date.
