The Arium
Housed in a state-of-the-art 90,000 sq metre glass house, The Arium is the biggest plant nursery in Leeds and one of a kind as it grows all plants on-site in four specially designed and temperature-controlled growing zones.
The nursery’s friendly and knowledgeable staff have collectively over 300 years of horticultural experience and are on-hand and happy to share their knowledge for any of your plant and gardening queries.
There are literally hundreds of different varieties of plants dependant on the season including:
ï shrubs and winter bedding
ï spring colour forced bulbs, early perennials
ï summer plants, fruit, edibles
The Arium Cafe sells a selection of locally-sourced food and drink including a kid’s lunch box. Sit back and enjoy your surroundings with stunning views of the plants in the glass house.
Kids can blow off some steam in the play area equipped with climbing frames, slides, an excavator and sand-pit situated next to the picnic area.
No visit is complete without a visit to the Arium Shop which sells a range of plant and gardening supplies including tools, bulbs, seeds, pots.
