MUMMY TRAVELS

Mummy Travels aka Cathy is an award-winning travel blogger from the UK who writes about travelling, both in the UK and overseas with children. Her blog provides amazing insights into local areas and holiday destinations, along with key tips and tricks on how to make travelling with children work for you. After a visit to Leeds in 2021, she wrote several blogs about her experience here including The Best Things To Do In Leeds With Kids, Visiting Harewood House With Kids and Visiting The Royal Armouries With Kids!

FIONA WITTY

Journalist Fiona Witty visited Leeds on several occasions in 2021! In June she took the whole family sightseeing across our beautiful city. After exploring hotspots such as Kirkgate Market, Leeds Central Library and the Royal Armouries, she wrote an article about the Many Wonders of Leeds. Later on in the year, she also tried some of the local independent food venues across the city, producing a brilliant article about How Community Spirit Turned Leeds Into A Foodie Hotspot.

ROUGH GUIDES

In the summer of 2021, Rough Guides wrote a piece to support our #BeOurGuest campaign which encouraged visitors to explore the city for longer with three nights in a hotel for the price of two! Their article Love Leeds for Longer includes a rundown of some of Leeds’ best attractions and cultural must sees for any budding traveller.

THE TELEGRAPH

The Telegraph published an article called 48 Hours in Leeds in August of 2021 giving an expert travel guide to the city and showcasing its wonderful sights and independent spirit. The piece gives readers an example itinerary of how to spend two days in the city, promoting some of the amazing attractions and businesses in Leeds.

ANNE TRAVEL FOODIE

In summer 2019, Anne Travel Foodie came to Leeds as part of a visit to the North of England to explore, you guessed it, the excellent food and drink scene here in the city. And she squeezed in some sight seeing too! Anne’s Best vegetarian and vegan food in Leeds blog is sure to make your mouth water and her Instagrammable Leeds blog is great inspiration for your next visit. Our fantastic city is really popular with visitors from The Netherlands. In August 2018, Milou, a fulltime travel blogger, digital nomad and person behind Explorista.net, visited for the weekend. Find out what she recommends are the BEST places to visit in Leeds.

MAP OF JOY

One of the best things about Leeds is that visitors from The Netherlands love the fact that we have access to the breath-taking countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. Watch Nathalie, Map of Joy, as she explores Leeds and the Dales in her YouTube video.

INDIA'S BIGGEST CRICKET FAN

Remember the Cricket World Cup in 2019? What a brilliant year that was! We hosted Veronica Jose who won a Visit Britain competition held in India to tour all the cricket grounds in the UK which was filmed by ESPN cricInfo. The best thing about Leeds – the food of course…and Headingley. As a result of this trip, the preview programme for India v Pakistan was recorded at Tharavadu! Watch Veronica exploring Leeds here.

Mollie was asked by Visit Britain to explore Leeds and Harrogate in November 2018 to find out what you could do for a three day break. Here’s what she got up to during her 3 day visit to Leeds. THE TRAVEL BITE

#INLEEDSWEEKEND

In 2018, we held our first ever blogger and influencer event, #INLeedsWeekend. We welcomed eight travel buffs to the city for a weekend of discovery, food, experiences and making new friends.

Penelope, The Flyaway Girl, knew very little about Leeds before her visit, but we certainly didn’t disappoint as you’ll see in her blog about instagrammable places. Claire, Tales of a Backpacker, was impressed by the wonderful array of free museums in Leeds. Katya Jackson has got 16 reasons to visit Leeds that are sure to persuade you to visit.
