Museums and Galleries

Where else can you arrive in style to Britain’s national museum of arms and armour, The Royal Armouries Museum, by a cute yellow water taxi. And in the centre of the city, Leeds City Museum and The Art Gallery are just a short stroll from each other. Remember to take in the Henry Moore Institute just next door to the Art Gallery on Victoria Gardens.

Slightly further afield is Leeds Industrial Museum and Thwaite Watermill where you can discover Leeds’ rich industrial past. And no visit to Leeds is complete without exploring the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey and then head over the road to Abbey House Museum to step back in time and experience life as a Victorian.
