Jacob Clark-Reyes Solo Piano Performance

Join acclaimed, young classical pianist and music producer Jacob Clark-Reyes for an inspiring evening of solo piano music at Seven Arts, Leeds, on 2nd October.

Originally from Essex, Jacob has established himself as a rising talent on the classical music scene, combining accomplished piano performance with a curiosity and creativity that extend far beyond traditional repertoire.

Jacob’s musical journey began on the piano, violin, and cello, but it was at the age of sixteen that he centred his artistic focus entirely on the piano. At this time he commenced study with Italian concert pianist Antonio Morabito through the Royal College of Music, a relationship that continues to this day, and recently completed his degree in Classical Performance and Music Production at Leeds Conservatoire.

Jacob’s growing international career includes performances in the UK, New York and Spain. His most recent notable achievements winning the 2025 Besbrode Pianos Leeds Conservatoire Competition and First Prize at the 6th Fanny Mendelssohn International Competition.

This eclectic programme reflects Jacob’s diverse musical influences, blending the vibrant Brazilian rhythms of Heitor Villa-Lobos with commissioned works by emerging composers. His passion for electronic music, influenced by his father’s DJ background, is represented by Aphex Twin’s Aisatsana. Cloud Watching adds another personal dimension, while Rachmaninoff and Mendelssohn bring contrasting Romantic colours. The programme culminates in a rich selection of Chopin’s nocturnes, Ballade and scherzos, showcasing the expressive depth and virtuosity of the piano.

With an ambition to develop a career in performance and teaching, Jacob continues to enter competitions and pursue artistic growth. Join him at Seven Arts for an evening that celebrates classical brilliance, contemporary creativity and unexpected musical connections.

Besbrode Pianos is proud to continue to support Leeds’ most exciting, young, rising stars of the piano world, The Leeds Conservatoire students. As Victor of the 2025 Leeds Conservatoire Competition sponsored by Besbrode Pianos, Jacob was awarded £500 prize money and the opportunity to star in his own solo piano performance at Seven Artspace in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. On the 2nd October, Jacob will showcase this vibrant repertoire on a Steinway model D from Leeds Town Hall.
