Founder Claire Douglas who trained in Jewellery Design and Silversmithing, seeks out exquisite collections from British designers and sort after international names to create a highly regarded and diverse range of jewellery.

Being an independant retailer it is important to support talented emerging designers from the local area as well as from across the UK and Europe. The principles behind the Argent business are excellence and innovation in design, quality and individuality. Honesty, trust and respect are important in their relationships with customers and designers. At Argent their primary concern is not to be led whole heartedly by fashion but to be aware of current design trends. All of their staff are trained in jewellery design and can offer a high level of expertise with the best customer service.

Argent offer a wide range of modern and contemporary jewellery made from sterling silver, gold, steel and titanium. In addition they showcase gold and platinum wedding and engagement rings as well as offering a bespoke commission service. They work with a well respected local designer who uses CAD to create images to an individual’s specification before expertly handcrafting a truly unique piece.

Argent pride themselves on their relaxed, informal environment which allows customers to browse without pressure and enjoy the ‘Argent experience’.
