Leeds Heritage Theatres is the place to be as we kick off 2026.

Continue the festivities with Aladdin: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto and Northern Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Northern Ballet’s The Nutcracker: Until Sun 4 January 2026

John Cleese’s Fawlty Towers: The Play: Tue 6 – Sat 10 January 2026
The ‘Greatest British Sitcom of all time’ (Radio Times) is back – this time on stage! Nearly 50 years since it first graced our TV screens, Fawlty Towers is now a brand-new stage play adapted by comedy legend John Cleese and directed by Caroline Jay Ranger.

Opera North’s The Marriage of Figaro: Fri 30 January – Fri 20 February 2026
This brand-new production of The Marriage of Figaro reimagines the mischief in a quintessential modern country home. Mozart’s music, performed live by the Orchestra of Opera North, fizzes with fun and plumbs the depths of emotion. It all adds up to an invitation that’s too good to turn down.

A very different format to the traditional Christmas pantomime, Rock ‘n’ Roll Pantos mix traditional elements of audience participation and corny gags with a jukebox full of classic rock anthems and chart-toppers, all performed live on stage by an ultra-talented cast of actor-musicians.
