Excitement is building as the 2018 Leeds LGBT+ Pride is just days away! The Leeds Pride main event is taking place on Sunday 5th August and will include two hours of entertainment in Millennium Square, a spectacular rainbow hued parade through the city centre with over 60 floats and five hours of entertainment on Lower Briggate, plus a family area at The Tetley. Make sure you get involved on social media during the day by tagging @VisitLeeds and @LeedsPride and using the hashtag #LeedsPride! It’s been three years since the Leeds International Piano Competition last took the city by storm, bringing the finest young international pianists to our doorstep, and now it’s time for a revival. Taking place in the suitably grandiose University of Leeds and Leeds Town Hall from 6th – 15th September, you can book your tickets to this prestigious event on the Leeds Piano website, it’ll only take a minuet….


The ICC Cricket World Cup is coming to Leeds! Leeds is proud to be one of 11 venues hosting the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Watch your favourite cricket stars in action as the city hosts four matches next summer at Headingley.
The public ballot for tickets to all tournament matches opens at 10am Wednesday 1 August. You must register an account in order to enter the ballot, and can do so now at tickets.cricketworldcup.com


The Leeds Pub Piano Competition is set to get The Tetley swinging to a different beat. This epic competition brings together three simple ingredients – Pints, a Piano and a Pub – promising some of the greatest pub piano entertainment to hit the city in years.

Save the date: the Heats take place on Thursday 6 September and the Final takes place on Thursday 13 September at The Tetley, Leeds
