Celebrate Mother’s Day Surrounded by Blooms, Art and Seasonal Beauty at Harewood House
10th March 2026
A feast for the senses awaits at Harewood House in Leeds this Mother’s Day, with breathtaking seasonal floral installations now in place created by acclaimed florist, Leafy Couture.
Visitors can explore a series of stunning silk floral arrangements across four rooms on the State Floor, inspired by the changing seasons as well as Harewood’s historic collections, including rare Sèvres porcelain.
To make Mother’s Day even more special, all mums attending Harewood’s quintessential Afternoon Tea will receive a complimentary glass of fizz, alongside artisan teas, hand-crafted sandwiches, freshly baked cakes, and scones. Afternoon Tea guests also get access to the House, Gardens, and Grounds, ensuring a full day of beauty, relaxation, and celebration.
Seasonal Art at the Heart of Harewood
Inspiring these blooms by Leafy Couture is Charlotte Verity, The Season Following, a first-of-its-kind exhibition at Harewood. Visitors journey through the seasons across five magnificent state rooms, from winter’s stillness to summer’s warmth, experiencing meticulously observed paintings of plants and flowers spanning 20 years, including works shown publicly for the first time. Interspersed with painted poems, the exhibition celebrates nature’s cyclical rhythm, offering moments of reflection and wonder.
Zoë Hughes, Head of Public Programme at Harewood House Trust, said: “Mother’s Day at Harewood is about celebrating beauty in all its forms – flowers, art, and nature. From Leafy Couture’s spectacular blooms to Charlotte Verity’s seasonal paintings, I hope we’ve created the perfect way for families to come together, explore, and create lasting memories.”
Family-Friendly Adventures
Harewood’s 140-acre grounds provide endless exploration for children. Families can climb, swing, and slide in the Adventure Playground, get lost in magical willow mazes in the Woodland Wonderland, and journey through the Sylvascope Treehouse. Nature trails, safari bags, and a Charlotte Verity-inspired family trail bring seasonal discovery to life, while the Servants’ Hall Family Fun Space offers indoor creative activities, books, and games suitable for all ages.
