Comedy legend Alan Davies brings his hilarious new show Think Ahead to Leeds Playhouse this Autumn
10th March 2026
Leeds Playhouse is delighted to welcome the critically acclaimed comedian, actor and writer Alan Davies with his hilarious new stand-up show, Think Ahead, on Thursday 1 October, as part of a major UK tour.
Davies brings his warm, sharply observed humour to a new chapter of middle age: more time in the pharmacy than the gym, kids who roll their eyes with Olympic skill, and the quest to keep blood pressure down while spirits stay up. He thinks he’s Marty McFly but he’s older than Doc Brown. Subject to relentless eye rolls from his kids. What is he? A late middle-aged stand up on tour for the first time in a decade. Funnier than ever, he says.
Speaking about the tour, Alan said: “After last year’s success of Think Ahead in Edinburgh, around the UK and in Australia, I’m delighted to be seeking out new audiences like a one man Starship Enterprise heading to Ireland, New Zealand, more towns in the UK and on to a new Galaxy (milk, not caramel).”
A beloved British comedy icon, Alan Davies is known for his much‑loved role in Jonathan Creek, his long-running seat on the BBC panel favourite QI, and his talk show Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled. His stand-up successes include Urban Trauma, Life is Pain and Little Victories.
