DECEMBER AT LEEDS HERITAGE THEATRES

Step into the warmth with Leeds Heritage Theatres and rediscover the magic of winter as we connect, reflect, and celebrate Wintertime. 

Throughout the season, audiences can add some magic to their theatre trip by enjoying a 10% discount on our bars*, booking a bespoke pre-show set menu at our partner restaurant, Tattu**, or taking home some brand-new merchandise.
As Christmas approaches, Leeds Heritage Theatres also has a great range of gifts which will stretch far beyond the festive season. From naming a seat for a loved one or purchasing a membership for an avid theatre fan, to artist-led merchandise and gift vouchers, we have something to help you enjoy the magic of theatre all year round.

Sir David Jason: Sun 1 March 2026
Sir David Jason takes to the stage with a brand-new show, joined by presenter Mike Bushell (BBC Breakfast), for an unforgettable evening of fun, laughter, and never-before-heard stories.
 
W*nkernomics: Just Touching Base: Mon 27 April 2026
Delivered in the form of an agonising all-staff meeting, Just Touching Base is a hilarious real-time demonstration of the buzzwords, bureaucracy and bullsh*t of modern working life.
 
Leeds Legends: Tue 28 April 2026
Get ready for an unforgettable evening with the heroes of Elland Road. Dominic Matteo, Ian Harte, Michael Bridges, Nigel Martyn, and the iconic Eddie Gray take to the stage alongside your host for the night, former Whites midfielder Andy Couzens.
 
The Karate Kid: The Musical: Tue 26 – Sat 30 May 2026
The Karate Kid: The Musical brings the legendary 1984 film to life on stage. Don’t miss this heartfelt coming-of-age story that takes flight with spectacular musical numbers and dazzlingly inventive choreography.
 
Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox: The Future is Vintage: Sun 31 May 2026
The acclaimed troupe of singers, dancers and instrumentalists will be performing a brand-new show in the group’s signature time-twisting style – putting a retro spin on everything from 70s rock classics and 80s Britpop hits to current chart-toppers, movie and video game soundtracks.

Heathers: The Musical: Tue 1 – Sat 5 September 2026
Based on the iconic movie starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, the WhatsOnStage Best New Musical winner Heathers: The Musical is wickedly funny, deliciously dark and full of big fun!
 
The Ballad of Johnny and June: Tue 15 – Sat 19 September 2026
The Ballad of Johnny and June takes you inside the soaring highs and shattering lows of a love story that defined an era. This brand-new musical, told through the eyes of their son, John Carter Cash, shows why Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash remain one of the most infamous couples of the 20th Century.
Maisie Adam: Whatsherface: Thu 24 September 2026
Join the “tall, chaotic one with the weird hair” as she returns with her trademark wit, firecracker gags, and probably a few angry outbursts along the way.
Mike Wozniak: The Bench: Sat 26 September 2026
New stand-up tour show from Mike Wozniak in which a story about a bench will be prominent. Previous experience or strong opinions about benches are not required. Let Mike worry about that.
Jersey Boys: Mon 7 – Sat 19 June 2027
Go behind the music and inside the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in the true-life musical phenomenon, Jersey Boys. From the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this is the musical that’s too good to be true.

Miss Saigon: Tue 2 – Sat 13 December
Boublil and Schönberg’s legendary musical is reborn as the epic new production of Miss Saigon arrives at Leeds Grand Theatre. The soaring score features hit songs including The Heat is On, The Movie in My Mind, Last Night of the World and The American Dream.
 
Northern Ballet’s The Nutcracker: Thu 18 December 2025 – Sun 4 January 2026
Christmas isn’t complete until you’ve experienced the magic of Northern Ballet’s The Nutcracker.
Share in Clara’s adventures as she is swept away by her Nutcracker Prince into an enchanting winter wonderland. Don’t miss dazzling dancing snowflakes, the famous Sugar Plum Fairy and the notorious Mouse King in the ultimate festive entertainment.

Aladdin: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto: Fri 28 November 2025 – Sun 11 January 2026
Leeds’ ‘Grade A panto’ (Yorkshire Times) is back to light up the festive season at the world-famous City Varieties Music Hall. This isn’t your average Christmas pantomime – this is a Rock ‘n’ Roll Pantomime!

This Wintertime, we’re delighted to partner with Tattu in a shared celebration of art, culture, and storytelling. Known for modern Asian fusion cuisine, Tattu has created a bespoke set menu*, running from Mon 1 Dec 2025 – Sat 28 Feb 2026 (excluding NYE). Enjoy two courses and a complimentary themed cocktail for only £29.50pp daily until 5.30pm. Booking link here.
