NOVEMBER AT LEEDS HERITAGE THEATRES
1st November 2024
November is upon us which means the time has come… The Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto is back! This festive season, our ultra-talented cast of actor-musicians will be bringing Jack and the Beanstalk to City Varieties after the success of last year’s Robin Hood.
Before the panto fun begins, catch show-stopping musicals Dear Evan Hansen and & Juliet at Leeds Grand Theatre, as well as one-night-only music and comedy treats across both our venues.

DEAR EVAN HANSEN: Tue 5 – Sat 9 November
Today is going to be a good day. And here’s why… Packed with some of the biggest musical theatre songs of the last decade, this brand-new production marks the first time that the Broadway and West End phenomenon will tour the UK & Ireland.
Everybody Dance starring Claire Richards: Mon 11 November
Join Steps superstar, Claire Richards, for the ultimate disco party, Everybody Dance! This brand-new tour features the greatest dance and disco hits of all time. From Donna Summer to Dua Lipa, Beyonce, Chic, The Weekend, Chaka Kahn, Daft Punk, Whitney, Cher and ABBA.

Ed Gamble: Hot Diggity Dog: Tue 12 November
Ed Gamble has minced a load of meat (thoughts), piped it into a casing (show) and it’s coming to a bun (venue) near you. There will be all your classic Gamble ranting, raving, and spluttering but he’s doing fine mentally. Promise.
Champagne for Lulu: Wed 13 November
Champagne For Lulu is a massive celebration with Lulu as you’ve never seen her before, celebrating her 75th birthday last year and 60 years since she stormed into the UK charts with her iconic hit Shout and became a national treasure.
BBC Big Band: The Music of James Bond… and Beyond: Fri 15 November
This very special concert explores the very best of Bond, including a sparkling collection of classic numbers such as Diamonds are Forever, Goldfinger and Live & Let Die, to the most recent themes from Skyfall, and No Time to Die. All performed in the BBC Big Band’s inimitable style!

& Juliet: Mon 18 – Sat 30 November
Get whisked away as Juliet ditches her famous ending for a fresh beginning and a second chance at life and love – her way. With music by Max Martin, this hilarious new musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told and asks – what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo?

The Motown Gospel Choir: Fri 8 November
Taking the audience on a history of the biggest Motown classics with an amazing gospel choir, the show features the smash Motown hits Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Tears Of A Clown, Love Train, and many more, as well as special guest singers adding to this blockbuster of a show.
Julia Fordham: Sat 9 November
Julia Fordham returns to the UK for her first headline tour in seven years. Performing an array of her classic songs including Happy Ever After, Where Does The Time Go, Porcelain, Girlfriend, Love Moves (In Mysterious Ways) and Manhattan Skyline alongside songs from her forthcoming album.

Henry Rowley: Just Literally: Tue 12 November
Online comedy sensation and rising star Henry Rowley will be touring the UK & Ireland for the first time this autumn. Join this Gen-Z internet twat for fast-paced stand-up and character sketch comedy featuring some familiar faces.
Shaun Ryder: Happy Mondays, and Fridays, and Saturdays, and Sundays: Wed 13 November
He’s the wild man of rock who became a national treasure. Happy Mondays and Black Grape frontman Shaun Ryder is hitting the road for a new, spoken word tour. The star of more-TV-shows-than-anyone-has-a-right-to-feature-on redefined the sex ’n’ drugs ’n’ rock ’n’ roll lifestyle during the halcyon age of Madchester.
Crooners: Thu 14 November
The show pays homage to some of the greatest Crooners of all time, with a splendiferous injection of Britishness featuring humour, tap dance, and some of the most quintessential songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Matt Monro, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin.

Jack and the Beanstalk: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto: Fri 29 November 2024 – Sun 12 January 2025
Leeds’s favourite panto will return to The Varieties for the festive period. A very different format to the traditional Christmas pantomime, Rock ‘n’ Roll Pantos mix traditional elements of audience participation and corny gags with a jukebox full of classic rock anthems and chart-toppers, all performed live on stage by an ultra-talented cast of actor-musicians.
