OATLY HELPS BRING FIRST-EVER VEGAN ‘BUNDO CHAAT’ TO BUNDOBUST FANS

7th January 2026

Oatly, the world’s original and largest oat drink company, has announced its latest collaboration with cult Indian street-food brand Bundobust – joining forces to launch the first-ever 100% vegan version of Bundobust’s iconic Bundo Chaat.

After years of requests from their vegan fans, one of Bundobust’s menu staples and most-loved dishes can now be made completely dairy-free thanks to Oatly.

A recipe that has been in Mayur, Bundobust’s Co-Founders, family for generations. Layers of samosa pastry, chickpea, potato, onion, sev, and chilli sauce. Served cool with tamarind chutney and the option of yoghurt, or now with Oatly’s Oatgurt.

From 7th January, customers in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool will now be able to swap traditional yoghurt for Oatly’s Oatgurt, giving the classic street-food dish a plant-based twist without compromising on flavour.

Whether you’re a long-term vegan or just looking to try something new this Veganuary, this flavour-packed layered Chaat is the perfect addition to any Bundobust visit – fresh, crunchy and served cool with Oatly’s Oatgurt.

This collaboration speaks directly to the communities who’ve been asking for a dairy-free version for years; and to everyone who simply loves great food, vegan or not! This launch is a celebration of delicious, accessible food for all diets.

The vegan Bundo Chaat will be a permanent addition to Bundobust menus, also available as part of a Lunch Express promotion, offering any two dishes for £11.25, Monday to Friday, between 12–4pm.
