One Month Until Leeds Tequila Festival!

One month to go until Leeds Tequila Festival 2024! The finest collection of Mexican Spirits in the North soon returns for its 3rd year in Leeds following on from the amazing Leeds Tequila Fest in 2023.
The festival is put on by Studio Events, responsible for the iconic Leeds Rum and Leeds Whisky festivals. They’ve had a busy year already, running masterclasses and tastings in Leeds first spirit school, The Liquor Studio on Lower Briggate.

Featured will be over 80 different Mexican spirits to sample, all of which are included in the ticket price. Returning will be fond favourites Ocho and HACIEN whilst welcoming newcomers such as Mixto 100.
This year will feature the return of the speed margarita bar. Guest can try their luck at making the fastest cocktail in town to win a MONIN cocktail kit with everything you need to make a batch of margaritas!
For 2024 the festival also has a new home. The Howard Assembly Room is Opera North’s historic “hidden gem” within the Leeds Grand Theatre. The original Victorian performance space, which has recently been restored to its former grandeur, has been regenerated to present a modern and contemporary feel.

Included in the ticket price is access to exclusive masterclasses – hosting a series of interactive discussions about the category. Want to know everything about the history
of tequila or how to make the best contemporary cocktails with HACIEN, then grab your spot. It’s first come first served.

Everyone’s favourite wine and liquor merchants, Latitude will be operating the Bottle Shop making sure that you can purchase your favourite spirits to take home and enjoy.
To keep bellies filled there will be bespoke food offerings curated by Kino’s Head Chef, former MasterChef: The Professionals semi-finalist Josh Whitehead.
On the day, it’s not just samples but discounted HACIEN cocktails will also be available from the Kino bar. Expect an array of twisted Mexican classics.

Lee Jones, Head of Studio Group says, “For the last two Summers, we have had the opportunity to showcase a new area of spirits for us – one we’ve always wanted to shout about, and we are thrilled to be continuing this for a third year. Fun and education are at the heart of what we do at Studio Events, so we were so delighted to see how receptive people were to the world of tequila. This year will be our biggest yet.”
