23rd August 2024

Paradox Orchestra – the classically-trained musicians known for their electrifying adaptations of iconic pop, club, and rock hits – will perform the hits of Fleetwood Mac at across the UK.

The timeless hits of the rock legends, reimagined for a live orchestra, will fill the multiple ancient cathedrals, concert halls and warehouses with their natural acoustics, for a spine-tingling experience.

Hits including Dreams, Go Your Own Way, Sara, and Gold Dust Women will take on a new resonance in these setting.

The concert comes hot on the heels of a sell-out UK tour of their 50 Years of Pink Floyd productions which has seen the orchestra sky-rocket around a multitude of cities performing to sell out audiences in venues around North, South and West Yorkshire, The Lake District, Calderdale valley and Kirklees.

Mikey Sluman, artistic director of Paradox Orchestra, said: “We’re thrilled to build on our partnerships, bridging communities and venues together through-out Yorkshire through our Inspire Days incentive and from our live concerts. We are proud to be able to bring people together through our reimagining of such iconic music putting original twists on our productions. Keeping each show unique is really important and I feel this is evident in our Fleetwood Mac show. Where as Pink Floyd was for a string orchestra we now welcome an extensive woodwind and brass line up, featuring some very exotic orchestration.

The orchestra aims to break down barriers for audiences, while supporting the communities they perform in. This year the orchestra has donated £5,000 to Charity along with donating £40,000 worth of services to charities across Yorkshire.

Mikey added: “Music can be incredibly powerful when it comes to bringing people together. We want to ensure the artform is accessible to all, and to remind audiences that we have a shared humanity. We promise a soulful, enriching, uplifting, entertaining and inclusive experience.”

Mikey Sluman is a graduate of Leeds Conservatoire and enrolled in a PhD at the Royal Academy of Music. The orchestra is based in Leeds and services the United Kingdom in under three years of operation

With its renditions of RnB tunes, iconic rock tracks, and pop classics, Paradox Orchestra is making huge waves throughout the music industry with some huge expansion planned in to 2025.
