The New Conservatory

The New Conservatory has a long and distinguished history as one of Leeds’ oldest and abiding favourite bars. We’re open from 12 noon until late every day and our kitchen serves food until 9pm Monday to Saturday and until 6pm on Sundays. You’ll find us right in the heart of Leeds city centre on Albion Street, opposite Toni and Guy, not far from the Trinity Shopping Centre.

Our Open Mic Night kicks off every Thursday from 9PM with our host Toby Thorne. Our soul and funk DJ Rob Press, keeps our Friday nights chilled with Friday Hustle and our guest DJ’s on Saturday’s will keep your toes tapping.

Our Happy Hour is one of the Happiest Hours in Leeds as it runs for 5 hours, 7 days a week. Our 2 for £5 offer includes selected lager, cider and house spirit and mixers from 5PM to 10PM, as well as a £9.95 bottle of Happy Hour Red, White or Rose.

Enjoy a meal in our library, surrounded by a unique mix of old-world grandeur, lounge-bar cool and continental chic. We are conveniently located near the Leeds Grand Theatre and West Yorkshire Playhouse and our speedy 2-course supper for theatre-goers will have you fed and watered within the hour. Bookings are recommended.

If you are looking for a hearty Sunday roast, then go no further. We have been told that our Sunday Roast, which is available from 12PM until sold out is the best in Leeds, but we will let you be the judge on that. We delight our guests with generous portions of homemade roast, with a choice of three meats, served with crispy roasties, mashed potatoes, cauliflower cheese, seasonal vegetables, a large Yorkshire Pudding and a rich gravy. Our ingredients come fresh daily from Leeds famous Kirkgate Market.

Whether you’re a bit peckish, in the mood for coffee or ravenous with hunger, you’ll find something delicious to fill the gap on our menu. The menu here boasts a range of home-made food to cater for every palate, from the starters through to the mains, The New Conservatory has something for everyone.
