Sand Moor Golf Club
Sand Moor is situated some 5 miles to the North of Leeds City Centre, adjacent to Moortown and Alwoodley Golf Clubs. There is convenient access from Harrogate, York and Bradford. From the course there are splendid views over Eccup and the Yorkshire Dales as far as the White Horse on the North Yorkshire Moors. This is one of the most attractive courses in Yorkshire
The 18 hole par 71 (SS71) championship golf course was originally developed in the 1920’s with the assistance of the renowned Dr Alistair Mackenzie. Some of his trademark greens are still in evidence.
A recent investment programme has produced a top quality course, which provides an enjoyable and challenging experience for golfers of all abilities. The Club also features a large and accessible practice ground, an excellent PGA qualified professional and a well-stocked shop. The final ingredient is the friendly welcome which is afforded to new members and visitors alike.
