2019 Tri entries open

The ITU World Triathlon Series Leeds 2019 sees the world’s top triathletes competing across the globe for rankings points that determine the overall ITU world champion.

2019's event will also provide 5,000 amateur triathletes with the unique opportunity to compete on much of the same course, in one of three mass participation distances.

There are five tri events across the two days each with different distances for the swim, run and cycling aspects of the race:

Standard (1500m swim, 36.2km cycle, 10km run)
Sprint (750m swim, 18.9km swim, 7.5km run)
Go Tri (200m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run)
Relay Standard (1500m swim, 36.2km cycle, 10km run)
Relay Sprint (750m swim, 18.9km cycle, 7.5km run)

Sunday 9th June Races

The main event is called the Standard and is known as the original triathlon. It’s what the pro’s do when they compete at the Olympics as well as the race distance for Sunday’s ITU World Triathlon Series event.

The Sprint race is the shortest of the Sunday races, and is a great distance for novice triathletes to start their triathlon journey. Alternatively, the Relay events are a great way for a team of friends or family, to take part in the Triathlon Leeds 2019 weekend.

Saturday 8th June Races

If you are less active but would like to give the triathlon a go then the Go Tri event might be for you. It’s aimed at newcomers to the sport and offers a fun and relaxed environment and with manageable distances and is also contained in and around Roundhay Park.
