TNL: ORB
Tuesday Night Live: ORB
Doors 7pm Music 7.15pm
Richard Ormrod – alto, tenor + baritone saxes
Pete Rosser – piano
Paul Baxter – double bass
and guest drummer
ORB play original compositions and choice selections of UK and US jazz in new arrangements by the band, refracted through the interplay between musicians, which ranges from improv intensity to lyrical whimsy. Rosser brings piano virtuosity, Ormrod brings 60s sax energy and Baxter has really great hair.
ORB plays in trio but more often with a drummer chosen from the great and good of the Northern percussive scene.
Advance tickets £8/£7 concessions (students + unwaged)
On the Night £10
