12th October 2022

High-end contemporary Chinese restaurant Tattu has revealed its all-new autumn winter menu. Designed to take diners on an experiential journey from East to West, Tattu’s new menu celebrates traditional Chinese cuisine with modern cooking techniques.

In keeping with traditional Chinese custom, diners are encouraged to connect with one another over Tattu’s delicate sharing dishes. Ideal for sharing, dim sum and small plates include Chicken Xiao Long Bao, Salmon Sashimi Wantons, Sugar Salt Crispy Squid and Glazed Beef San Choy Bao. Tattu also offers a menu of the finest quality meats prepared in keeping with historic practice. Favourites include Black Pepper and Honey Ribs, Red Pepper Lamb Cutlet and boasting a melting pot of flavours, the Japanese Black Wagyu Sirloin served with green beans and truffle sesame soy. Wok dishes include Crispy Shredded Beef Fillet, Green Pepper Lobster and, a Tattu classic, Wok Fired Angry Bird – chicken served with roasted chilli peppers and sesame soy honey. Prepared with ample spice and flavour, oriental-inspired seafood dishes include Balsamic Teriyaki Salmon prepared with a crispy black pepper skin and served with sweet, pickled cucumbers and Steamed Butterfly Sea Bass cooked in traditional Shaoxing wine, lemon soy and caramel chilli.

Vegetarian or plant-based diets are not forgotten with offerings such as Special Fried Sweet Potato served in a black vinegar glaze with spring onion and ichimi pepper, Sweet Tamarind Tofu Balls served with watermelon, candied chilli and mint and Beansprout Noodles.

In true Tattu style, an array of show-stopping cocktails are on offer. Taking centre stage, the Eastern Dragon is served on a raised platform encapsulated by an elegant glass dome which, once removed, reveals a graceful 135 East Gin cocktail with delicate notes of apple and raspberry. For those dining for two, indulge in the romantic Celestial Dragon – served in a delicate glass dragon, the Celestial Dragon offers Eastern notes of hibiscus partnered with citrous notes.

Each Tattu restaurant is entirely unique, designed to reflect its location. Situated in the heart of Leeds city centre, Tattu Leeds marries Yorkshire tradition with Eastern symbolism. The cherry blossom symbolises the Eastern symbol of good luck while white roses reflect the Yorkshire symbol of love. Tattu Leeds is a space which reflects both the unique fusion cuisine and the unique nature of the city.
