Leeds Indie Food Festival: the first fifteen

18th March 2019

Samba, Sustainability and Sommeliers: Announcing Leeds Indie Food first 15 foodie events

Leeds Indie Food Festival is proud to announce its first fifteen events, in a year full of crowd-pleasing, indie food festival fun.

Returning from 9th-27th May 2019, Leeds Indie Food promises another year of exclusive supper clubs, workshops, unique one-off events and collaborations aplenty. There’s a host of brand new events as well as some returning favourites, alongside the customary innovation, forward-thinking and foodie unity across the city.

From secret muggle suppers and sensual dinner parties to wine pairings, beer pairings, family fun and even sausage-roll offs, this year’s Leeds Indie Food has a wealth of diverse events to keep every palate happy. Venues across the city are featured on the line-up and as always the festival is accessible to all with a combination of free and ticketed events, of which are already on sale via the Leeds Indie Food website.

A particular family-friendly highlight, a festival-within-a-festival will also be running down at Kirkstall Abbey, called Feast & Fiesta – a weekend of samba, face painting and carnival vibes not to be missed.

Based around the idea of food being wrapped up in sensual pleasure, Hands on Sensuality is a brand new, immersive experience for LIF 19. Guests can expect a “heightened, sensory, pleasure-inducing night” with a 10-course tasting menu, all served onto the back of your hand, followed by an empowering talk on female pleasure.

More events are being released throughout March and promises to be the most inclusive festival to date. Venues signed up include Vice & Virtue Group, Bundobust, Belgrave Music Hall, Below Stairs, Yard & Coop, Outlaws Yacht Club, House of Koko and many more.
