The Shed
We’re thrilled to welcome you to the Shed, a portable exhibition space created by four Fine Art students from the University of Leeds.
As a collective, the artists aim to showcase local art right in the heart of the Leeds community.
The Shed acts as a meeting point between artistic practice and the local environment — a space to exhibit both their own work and that of the people they encounter along the way.
Housed within a hand-built structure that opens out to reveal a range of 2D and 3D works, the exhibition invites interaction and exploration. Through modular shelving, artists are able to respond to and reshape the space, curating unique exhibitions in ever-changing locations.
As the Shed moves from place to place, it allows art to interrupt the everyday — forming a kind of social sculpture that both artists and the community can engage with.
Accessibility and ease of interaction are at the core of this project, making art more open, immediate, and connected to its surroundings.
Join us at Left Bank on the 5th and 6th May — we’d love to see you there.
