Georgina Barr at Rush Hour Jazz
Georgina Barr’s chic, effortless style and connection to the music leaves audiences begging for more. Her timeless style and effortless musicianship show through in all settings.
“With an education from Leeds College of Music and a history of gigs around the world, her bubbly personality, impeccable delivery and hard working nature promise her a very bright future” John Marley, The York Press, September 2014.
From starting out with the Leeds Youth Jazz Orchestra at the age of 17 she was given the opportunity to perform in South Africa in 2010 and at many local Jazz Festivals. The exposure and experience from this band allowed Georgina to grow musically and become the front woman in her own ensembles and projects. At Leeds College of Music she studied under Kari Blevik, Simon Kaylor, Jamie Taylor, Jamil Sheriff, Rob Mitchell, Sebastian De Krom and Claire Martin, OBE.
