Grace Cummings
Grace Cummings brings her most ambitious and unsettling work to Europe and the UK this November. Bloodhorse! — out August 14th via ATO Records — is the fourth album from the Melbourne-born singer-songwriter, and it arrives as a bold leap into new territory. Recorded in Topanga Canyon with GRAMMY-nominated producer Jonathan Wilson (Father John Misty, Angel Olsen, Margo Price), the record finds Cummings pushing her extraordinary voice — that deep, feral, stop-you-in-your-tracks alto — into music that shudders with synths, tense strings, and woozy grooves alongside the campfire intimacy she built her reputation on.
Where Ramona opened up her world, Bloodhorse! plunges into the dark of it. Themes of life, death, agency, and self-examination pulse through an album that is by turns lush and violent, confessional and defiant. It’s music that feels as much as it sounds.
Following a run of European dates supporting Father John Misty and a sold-out London headline show at The George Tavern, Cummings will bring Bloodhorse! to life with her full band this fall. Not to be missed.
