7th March 2026

Join us in the Gallery during our annual Print Festival for performances and more from our Ones to Watch 2026 cohort!

Ones to Watch returns to the Gallery for its thirteenth year in 2026, showcasing some of the most exciting emerging talent Yorkshire has to offer. The exhibition brings together work by artists from across disciplines, from painting to sculpture, film, photography, ceramics, design and more.

Visit the Gallery during our Print Festival weekend for an evening of performances and a drop-in workshop from some of the exhibiting artists.

PERFORMANCES

Throughout the night, 3 of this year’s Ones to Watch artists will showcase other areas of their practices with live performances.

Bethany Wilson

The Futures Past Coalition

The Coalition will be performing a serious piece about power and politics and the idea that tolerance is one of the great paradoxes of our time (reference Philosopher Karl Popper). The work does not directly take political sides – it offers food for thought bringing together Lyndon’s poem and quotations from, for example, George Orwell. It seeks to raise thoughts about division and control.

The audience will be encourated to participate in a call and response manner.
(Approx 20 minutes.)

Jude Kershaw

Join a character from Yorkshire’s past as she spills all, the past can be shocking: there may be tears, there might be laughter! This is an exciting opportunity to see new material and a new historical character by Jude Kershaw.
(Approx 10 minutes.)

DROP-IN WORKSHOP

Join Ones to Watch artist Abbie Bruff for a drop-in zine making workshop inspired by her practice and her recent zine ‘Things we’re all too young to know’.

Abbie’s mixed media practice explores themes of relational connection, lived experience and vulnerability. Through layering and process-based experimentation, she investigates how emotional and physical traces can be translated into visual form, creating work that reflects the intimacy and honesty of human interaction.

Bring along your own photos with friends and family and join this open ended session where Abbie will teach you how to create your pamphlet stitch zine.
