Private view – Words Worth Watching: The Writers’ Room
Join us for a private view (with readings) of Words Worth Watching: The Writers’ Room, a new exhibition in our Project Space.
Words Worth Watching: The Writers’ Room brings together the Wild Pansy Press, its creative team from The Writers’ Room, and some of the London and Northern-based artists who have recently undertaken residencies in its current Cloudesley Square studio in London.
In this exhibition, we embrace and share printed matter as a tangible mode of sharing ideas and work.
We strongly believe that the written and spoken word, and publication as a medium, are inherently democratic and enfranchising, offering a (literal) voice to all participants.
Here we highlight both publications and archival matter from the Wild Pansy Press, and the practices of previous Writers’ Room residents – Elaine Fisher, George Storm Fletcher, Lily Petch, Emily Fielding and Joanna Jowett.
Curated by Chris Taylor, Simon Lewandowski and Lu Rose Cunningham.
All are welcome to join us at the private view. The evening will include readings by Lu Rose, Lily, George, Emily, Joanna and Elaine. No need to book just turn up!
Words Worth Watching: The Writers’ Room is then open to the public from 28 April to 2 May.
