Relief printing from Polystyrene Plates – Print Festival 2026
Print Fest regular Cath Brooke will guide you through printing with polystyrene plates to create unique artworks!
Relief prints from polystyrene are a simple but effective way of creating unique prints. Polystyrene plates are soft and easy to work with using a pencil or pen to draw an image into the plate.
You can create a simple one colour print or work into your design to add a 2nd or 3rd colour. Each person will create 3 or 4 prints on a range of different coloured card.
This process doesn’t require a printing press and is therefore great for anyone who wants to continue at home without the need for expensive equipment.
This session is suitable for beginners and those over the age of 12 when accompanied by an adult.
This workshop is taking place as part of our Print Festival. Find out more > https://www.sunnybankmills.co.uk/arts/print-festival-2026
